Has anyone used the Berlitz "Italian Prime Minister" CD-ROM of the language program?
Berlitz has been around for decades, but only can find an online review of this lame CD-ROM program. Here is the link for the whole of the Amazon – with the ineffective and useless review: Do you know anyone who has used these programs Berlitz? If so, how effective are they?
I used Berlitz, but for the Japanese. It is very effective. My The only criticism is that Berlitz uses annoying American accent, and me being from Australia, did not like this too. I learned a lot through Berlitz Japanese but I'm not sure Berlitz Italian.

I am really interested in going to other countries especially Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle east and North Africa. I hear about teaching English and would be thrilled to do that. I am currently a political science major. I am currently trying to learn to speak Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, Hindi, Turkish, Vietnamese, Russian, Mandarin, Japanese, Tagalog, Italian,and Spanish by cd. I feel i could be fluent in another language in 6 months if i have the ability to practice it more. I would also like to finish college in a foreign college.
There is work teaching English in all the areas you mention. The pay and conditions will be different however. Most important, finish your degree. Then take a TEFL certificate. The most internationally recognized ones are the CELTA, CertTESOL and the SIT TESOL certificates.
Research online about the conditions in the regions of the world you are interested in. Try to find jobs online, but be prepared to go to the country itself – as, outside of certain Middle Eastern countries – most jobs are offered to teachers already in the country.
The experience of learning foreign languages yourself will help you become a better language teacher.

what should i do to learn both languaged, french and russian?
ok, so i have been learning french with the pimsleur learng method and it excellent, and I also want to learn russian, so should I study them both at the same time or should i take my time, but I am really smart and i can study both at the same time, and what would b some good ways for me to learn russian, and by that i mean studying, im going to the pimsleurs CDs for the russian to, but what would be some good ways to improve it more, thanks sexys
If you’re really smart like you say and if you have the will learn the languages, you’ve got all you need. Well, besides the books or teachers or whatever of course. You sound like you can handle learning them both at the same time. I’ve studied more than one language at a time, and I try to keep up with most of the ones I have studied. It’s not a problem to keep up with the ones I want to know.
If you really like the method you’re using to study french, then stick with it if you can for Russian too. And start getting some books in the target language. For you, that might be French; go to a bookstore and see if there are some novels in French. I have a bunch of classics written in German, the language I’m best at out of all of the languages I’ve studied so far, and I’m working through one of them at the moment. I don’t know all of the words that I read, but I look them up, and it has helped a lot. It helps make me much better at rambling on in German without thinking about what to say next.
Since your next language will be Russian if you follow through with it, you will want to make sure you have a good way to learn the Russian alphabet as it doesn’t use the Latin one like English and French. You need to make sure you know the Russian Cyrillic alphabet very well. And once you get good at it, you should look for novels in it as well. It’s going to be more difficult than finding French ones, but I’m sure it’s possible with the internet. Good luck!
